Unit 1 Topic 1
Students will learn what makes Louisiana unique. We will use a variety of sources to learn about Louisiana. We will learn about where Louisiana is located, and what makes its location unique. Students will learn about different types of maps and their uses. Students will learn the resources found in the different regions of Louisiana.
We will have our Topic test on Friday, September 13th. Students will bring home a study guide on Thursday, September 12th. Students will have all sources needed to study for the test. Please sign study guide and return for bonus points.

Module 1 - Weather
​
Students will be learning about the hurricane that destroyed Galveston, Texas on September 8, 1900. We will analyze graphs, learn about weather conditions, seasons, and chart daily weather.
​
Our Module test is tentatively set for October 4th. I will let students know in advance if this date changes. A study guide will come home the night before the test.
